AJN Steelstock sponsored, ‘The Blueboys’ – London Colney Youth FC’s U18s team – have celebrated an incredible first season this year after winning the Eastern Junior Alliance Red Division without losing a game.
Travelling to some top grounds around London and Essex, the U18s squad surprised a number of their hosts with consistent and impressive performances to remain undefeated in their first season together.
As well as winning the Eastern Junior Alliance League, The Blueboys also reached the semi-finals of the EJA Magnus Cup, where they were narrowly beaten 2-1 by National League South, Concord Rangers.
Manager, Stuart Evans, said, “I’m so pleased for the boys. With the COVID-19 restrictions that were put in place we were limited with the amount of training we could offer. They’re a great bunch of lads though and despite these set-backs they constantly improved and put on some really impressive performances.
“We’re really excited for next season – with a full training schedule, anything could be possible.”
