Team AJN Steelstock, led by one of AJN’s production administrators and team captain, Harry Sage, has raised over £9,200 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA).
Over 35 fantastic supporters took part in the charity’s ‘Trek24’ event, completing the gruelling 24-mile course along the Suffolk Coast from Aldeburgh to Sotterley Estate.
The Trek24 challenge is one of EAAA’s annual fundraising events and was set up this year to support its 24/7 helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS), which launched at the end of June.

By flying 24/7, the charity estimates that it will be able to attend up to 600 more missions a year, flying all over East Anglia. Relying solely on public funding, the money raised through events like this help to keep the service operational. It costs, as an example, £200 per hour to fuel one of its helicopters and around £3,500 to cover the full cost of each life-saving mission.

As the East Anglian Air Ambulance is one of AJN’s designated charities for 2021/22, the company has pledged to match the total amount raised for this event.
