A wildlife oasis with a landscape of lakes, reeds, meadows and woodlands, Lackford Lakes Nature Reserve in Suffolk, is home to a vast array of iridescent kingfishers, dazzling dragonflies and grazing wildlife.

Spread over 323 acres, the reserve also boasts five nature trails leading out from the visitor centre and it’s here where AJN comes into the story. A range of shot blasted and oxidised channel sections were donated so that vital repairs and upgrades could be carried out on the four pedestrian bridges that allow visitors to get close to the wildlife without causing any damage to the natural habitat.

To date, two of the four bridges have been replaced with work currently underway on the remaining two.
