AJN Steelstock targets British Superbike Championship with FS-3 Racing

Leading UK steel stockholder, AJN Steelstock Limited, has joined forces with British Superbike race team, FS-3 Racing to become a main sponsor of the official Kawasaki Superbike team as it chases championship glory this season.

The company, which plays a crucial role in the UK steel construction industry, is no stranger to the race circuit having been one of the lead sponsors of the McAMS Yamaha race team last season and title sponsors of British Superstock rider, Levi Day, in previous seasons.

Alan Boyden, AJN Steelstock’s Joint Managing Director, comments, “We’re really looking forward to the 2024 British Superbike season and delighted to be partnering with FS-3 Racing.

“The team has made significant advances in its pursuit of reaching the top of the championship and with Jason O’Halloran and 2023’s rookie of the year, Max Cook, leading the charge, this year has the makings of being a very exciting one for everyone involved.”

Following a five-year stint at McAMS Yamaha, Australian superbike rider and title contender, Jason O’Halloran, climbs aboard the Kawasaki ZX10-RR for the first time in 2024.

The ‘O’Show’ boasts an impressive race career and became a Showdown contender for the first time in 2016 when he finished fifth place overall in the title fight. 2020 marked Jason’s strongest season in the series, narrowly missing out on the top spot to finish runner-up at the season finale.

In 2021 Jason claimed more race wins than any of his rivals but ended the season in third overall. In 2023 he celebrated further success becoming the rider with the most race wins for Yamaha Racing, as well as smashing the BSB Donnington Park lap record to claim pole position at Round 10.

Commenting on his move to ‘Team Green’, Jason adds, “It’s always difficult when you are switching teams; you want to make sure you have all the pieces of the puzzle lined up as best you can before making your move.

“I want to say a massive thank you to Alan and the team at AJN Steelstock. As sponsor of my previous team, Alan got right behind this new deal and played a major role in making it happen. I had a great feeling with the FS-3 team; I liked their enthusiasm and hunger for success and with AJN’s support, I can’t wait to get the 2024 British Superbike season underway.”

The British Superbike Championship is widely regarded as one of the most competitive and exhilarating domestic Superbike Championships in the world. The 2024 season kicks of at Circuito de Navarra in Spain for Round 1 on Saturday 20th April before starting a run at some of the best circuits across the UK and culminating with the season finale at Brands Hatch in October.
