Leading UK steel stockholder, AJN Steelstock, which supplies processed steel to the UK construction industry, has been named as one of the top performing businesses in a list of Suffolk’s 100 highest-grossing companies.
Now in its twenty-first year, Suffolk Limited gives a unique insight into the performance of the Suffolk business community. Compiled by accountants, Grant Thornton and law firm, Birketts, the survey analyses the financial performance of the county’s leading privately-owned companies.
Building on its achievement and demonstrating continued success and record sales over the past year, AJN Steelstock moved four places above last year’s ranking and is now placed fourth in the highly regarded listing.
Providing a yardstick against which the county can assess its economic performance, the Suffolk Limited report shows that the combined turnover for the county’s top 100 companies reached £5.6bn in 2022 – up 10% on 2021. Overall, the 100 companies listed achieved a 22% increase in combined operating profits compared to last year.
