There’s a serious touch of class at Medway Rugby Club at the moment and we’re delighted to be part of it.
At the start of the 2021/22 season, 12 members of the AJN sponsored U16 Ravens were selected to form part of the Saracens Player Development Group (SPDS). That’s the most in this age group from any club throughout Kent, Essex and Hertfordshire!
If that wasn’t impressive enough, a further seven players have just been selected into the Saracens Academy. These elite Ravens will now form part of a 52-man squad (selected from over 800 youth players in the Premiership Club’s Developing Player Programme) and could potentially offer the players a direct line to playing professional rugby.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on the team for the rest of the season and wish everyone involved the best of luck.
