Job Overview
Learn how to process customer orders to specifications using a selection of manual machinery.
Full training will be provided for those with no experience, your salary will reflect this.
Salary
Competitive, dependent on experience.

Overtime
Pre authorised overtime available at time and a half, after 40 hours.
Shifts Available
Day shift (40 hours per week): Monday to Friday (06:00 – 14:00)
Mid shift (40 hours per week): Monday to Friday (14:00 – 22:00)
Night shift (40 hours per week): Monday to Friday (22:00 – 06:00)
This includes a 30 minute paid break. All training carried out on day shift.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Learn how to operate a selection of manual and CNC based machinery for metal processing
- Learn to process steel to customers’ requirements and tolerances
- Learn how to work within the Company’s quality system to ensure the full traceability of customer orders
- Learn how to read drawings, orders and follow verbal instructions
- Learn how to operate forklifts, CombiLifts and the crane safely and in a controlled manner
- Learn how daily checks are performed on your equipment, cranes and forklifts/CombiLifts (to be carried out before you start your shift)
- Learn how to collate aforementioned orders, including banding, palletising, bagging and preparing them for loading
- Learn how to load and offload of plate and parts from the plasma and laser machines
- Learn how to identify and locate different steel products using appropriate measuring equipment
- Learn how to keep machines and work areas clean and tidy
- Learn how to report any accidents and incidents to the HS&E Manager
- Learn how to report any machine faults/breakdowns to the Production Supervisor or Maintenance Manager
- Attend all training courses when required.
