Speedway contender set for success with AJN Steelstock

AJN Steelstock sponsored speedway rider, Lewis Kerr, has set his sights on the British Championship as the 2024 British speedway season gets underway this week.

With the backing and support of AJN Steelstock for the second successive year, 33-year-old Lewis will be competing in the SGB Premiership League for Oxford Spires and in the Cab Direct Championship as the number one rider for Berwick Bandits.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been better prepared with the backing and support that I have this year”, comments Lewis. “There have been times in the past where I’ve come close to a big title win only to miss out in the semi-final or final.

“Hopefully I can get over the line this year and I can’t wait for the new season to get started. The support AJN has given is incredible and I’d love to win a trophy for them, for Oxford and Berwick, and for the fans.”

Despite two serious accidents – an almost career-ending crash in 2015 and a crash in 2018 that left him wheelchair bound for 16 weeks – Lewis has had a successful career riding for some of the top Premiership and Championship clubs and is highly regarded throughout the speedway network.

The 2024 British Speedway season will be broadcast on Eurosport with live streaming on the British Speedway Network. Featuring bikes with no brakes, just one gear, a clutch and 500cc engines, speedway is considered among the most fast and furious of motorsports.
